The Uefa champions league quarter-finals served us the drama we never expected.




It's every team's dream to play in the Uefa champions league. Liverpool had a wonderful first leg outing against Manchester City at Anfield of which they came out with a 3- goal lead advantage.
The spanish giants FC Barcelona kicked 4 past the A.S Roma Brazillian shot-stopper Allison Becker, A.S Roma managed to pull one back to leave things at 4-1.

Realmadrid also dominated Juventus at the Allianz stadium with the Prolific Portuguese forward producing one of his finest displays in the round leather game with a wonderfully taken acrobatic goal. Elsewhere, Bayern Munich came out on top against Sevilla who have had a rather suprising run in the competition, managing to come out from a tricky group, beating Manchester United in the round of 16 to get to the quarter-finals.

Things rather took a suprising turn in the 2nd leg as A.S Roma stunned FC Barcelona at the Stadio olympico with one of their finest displays all season inspired by the former Manchester City Striker Edin Dzeko, who out-muscled Pique and Umtiti to open the scoring for the Italian side. They went on to win the game 3:0 knocking Barcelona out of the competition. This is regarded as the 2nd joint most successful comeback of all time after the heroics of Barcelona against the french champions P.S.G.


Liverpool managed to protect their first leg advantage after a dreadful start, winning the game 2:1 to dump Guardiola's side out of the competition.

Bayern munich played out a 0:0 draw at the Allianz Arena to dump Sevilla out of the competition.



It was full of drama at the Santiago bernabeu, Juventus stretched the Spanish champions, hitting 3 goals past Keylor Navas to bring the aggregates to 3:3. Realmadrid won a penalty almost at the dying minutes as Mehdi Banatia missed a last ditch tackle on Vasquez appearing to have fouled the spanish international. Michael Oliver wasted no time in awarding the penalty which caused lots of frenzy resulting to Buffon being sent off after throwing some words at the English referee. Cristiano Ronaldo stood up and slotted the penalty to send Realmadrid through to the Semi-finals.
